1) Activity : Find out how the gradual
adaptation from primitive man to modern man must have taken place.
🌱 1. Early beginnings
The earliest human ancestors (like Australopithecus, about 4–2 million years ago) walked upright but still had small brains.
They mostly depended on nature: gathered fruits, roots, and hunted small animals.
🔥 2. Use of tools and fire
Gradually, humans (Homo habilis, around 2.4–1.4 million years ago) learned to make simple stone tools.
Later, Homo erectus (about 1.9 million–110,000 years ago) discovered how to use fire.
Fire helped them cook food, stay warm, and protect themselves from predators.
🏕 3. Social life and language
Early humans began to live in groups for safety and cooperation.
They started developing simple languages and gestures to communicate, which strengthened group hunting and sharing.
🧠 4. Brain growth and creativity
Over thousands of years, human brains grew larger and smarter (Homo sapiens appeared around 300,000 years ago).
They started creating art, cave paintings, jewelry, and musical instruments, showing abstract thinking and creativity.
🌾 5. From hunters to farmers
About 10,000 years ago, humans learned agriculture during the Neolithic Revolution.
Instead of moving from place to place, they began to settle down, grow crops, and domesticate animals.
🏘 6. Formation of societies
With settled life came the building of villages and towns.
People developed trade, crafted pottery, wove cloth, and built better tools and houses.
Societies developed rules, religions, and governance systems.
⚙️ 7. Modern man
Over time, technology, science, and cultural exchange rapidly advanced.
Humans moved from the Stone Age to Bronze and Iron Ages, and then to modern industrial and digital societies.
✨ In summary: Through millions of years, humans gradually adapted by:
Walking upright
Using tools and fire
Developing language
Growing larger brains
Settling and farming
Forming complex societies
